FOR A NEW BODY
A book around the body, no more as a machine, nor as the mapping of functions. Rather as a living anatomy, that becomes new and old, inhabits a linear and perpetual time, represents the production of new qualities of perception, new feelings and moods.
A body whose becoming old may represent some good news, an adaptive quality: not just dehydrating tis- sues, but tissues that have new emotions and temperament, produce poetry, melancholy, distance and close- ness, fragile yet precious like a crystal, uniqueness.
Getting old brings the vision of one’s transparent body floating on life, a vision that can afford to lay on our knowledge of the world, to enjoy a time of self-indulgence and self-satisfaction, to remain distant and get rid of the density and speed of matter and of the materiality of earth’s gravity.

Parallel to the text, runs a linear installation of 14 photos, in two different sequences, so that one group of books contains one sequence, and the other group the other sequence. The photographic material is the same for all books, and presents the visual order of two rhythmical and temporal series, that remind two different moments in the life of our human body according to our experiences: the moment of conception and the extrasystole in the heartbeat.

the covers of the book are handcrafted with acrylic, one gold series and the other white. each is different from the other just as the body is constantly changing.
